PEREA

Perea, Nea Epivates and Agia Trada form the municipality of Thermaikos. Sat on the Thermaikos Gulf with stunning views of Thessaloniki the towns have 7.4 km of safe, sandy beach with tavernas and cafés along the front that are open all year round. This is not just a holiday season area but used throughout the year by local townspeople and visitors from Greeks second largest city Thessaloniki and other surrounding towns.

Perea is only 15 minutes drive from Thessaloniki’s international airport Macedonia. There are large shopping malls & retail outlets, entertainment, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, bowling centres & IKEA. The area is perfect for families with children as it is safe, sociable and has all the amenities you will need.

SCHOOLS

All nearby communities offer pre-school kindergartens and there are numerous state & private schools with their own transport. The majority of the best private schools of Thessaloniki are within 10-20 minutes car drive. The centre of Thessaloniki is about a 30 minute drive

THESSALONIKI

Thessaloniki is Greece’s second largest city. It has a youthful charm and a relaxed attitude. The best entertainment in Greece can be found in this city and the the beaches are never very far away. Forget Athens, Thessaloniki is where its at.

It really doesn’t matter what day it is. The scene pretty much the same with the afternoon slipping unnoticeable into evening. The evenings gets a little darker and the air a little warmer and the café’s and bars along the waterfront get a little busier but there is no dramatic change. Greeks and visitors alike accept the easy pace even when the coffees turn into something a little stronger Thessaloniki remains dignified and relaxed. You won’t find the island party people here and drunken football fans and over imbibed holiday makers are notable by their absence.

Thessaloniki can stand side by side with Athens when it comes to culture, offering a host of theatres, concerts and festivals. You will also find Greece’s biggest university, with over 95,000 students. The huge student population has been a positive influence and helped generate the youthful aura, the amazing night-life and the quality entertainment that can be found in Thessaloniki. All things you would expect to find in a big city like consulates, major universities, shopping malls, parks & museums are all within easy reach.

HALKIDIKI

Halkidiki is a true vacation paradise. The Greek’s own mainland holiday destination.

About one hours drive south-east of Thessaloniki are the peninsulas (locally known as the fingers) of Halkidiki, turquoise seas with crystal clear water, white beaches & green forests. Halkidiki is perfect place for those seeking traditional Greek surroundings and hospitality by the sea.

This is where the Greek locals from Thessaloniki and further afield go to holiday or simply spend their weekends relaxing.

Halkidiki is formed by the three fingers of Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos.

Kassandra is a much loved holiday paradise that receives travellers and visitors from many parts of the world. Visitors come to find the beautiful natural landscape and wildlife, the stunning, safe, blue flag beaches with turquoise seas.

Eating is a way of life in Greece and no less so in Halkidiki. Local wines, mouth watering food abound. Many tavernas specialise in locally caught fish and of course the compulsory Calamari.

There is a wide choice of activities like horse riding, paragliding scuba diving and snorkelling. The choice is yours, you can simply get a beautiful tan while relaxing on the beach beach or liven things up with locally arranged trips & activities. Perhaps a cruise around the monastery strewn peninsular of Mount Athos on the Eastern most finger.

Sithonia is the middle peninsula, is more mountainous and even more unspoiled. It is regarded as the more exclusive peninsular for visitors and is home to one of Greece’s best 18-hole golf courses. Famous vineyards, that produce world renowned wines such as Chatzimichalis and Carras can be found here. There are around 40 or so small bays with beautifully natural greenery and small quiet beaches. Sithonia’s coastal areas are more renown for being peaceful no crazy, noisy night-life here but small cosy beaches which you can often have to yourself and friendly, traditional local taverns that will welcome you with open arms.

All this and an almost perfect Mediterranean climate with 300 days of sun throughout the year. Fantastic beaches, excellent food and culture. Greek hospitality abounds and the crime rate is exceptionally low compared with other southern European countries. Property prices are still enticing but increasing. The cost of living is low in comparison with Spain for instance and of course Greece is an EU country giving free and easy access for EU citizens.

Why Greek Apartments and Where Can I Find One?

Why Greek Apartments and Where Can I Find One?

Have you considered Greek apartments? Thousand of people from the UK and the US are upping sticks and moving to Greece. Hundreds of thousand of people from all over the Europe are headed for Greece. It’s not surprising really. Cheap air flights, 300 days a year sun, cheap property bargains (still) and probably one of the eventual winners of the credit crunch and global financial problems. Greece is becoming the business gateway to Europe for the Balkan countries and the future looks rosy. The pace of life is sedate, dictated by the warm weather so anyone leaving hectic life in the UK or US will find a new kind of pleasure.

Housing is plentiful and available. Many people moving to Greece look for old stone houses, traditional Greek villas and the like. Of course this is not all there is. Anyone living in Athens or Thessaloniki ( and that about half the population right there) probably lives in an apartment.

Stunning Sea And Mountain Views

Stunning Sea And Mountain Views

Not to be confused with the awful tower blocks that rose in Britain in 1960’s. Greece has never suffered from any of the issues that occurred there. Many Greek apartments are in small blocks and many with beautiful shared gardens and stunning views over seas or mountains (and in many cases both). The weather means sitting and eating on your terrace or balcony for all but a few days of the year so you are never cramped or claustrophobic even in the smallest of Greek apartments.

Greek apartments are fantastic investments, always practical, always saleable and easily rented out. Whether you want a Greek apartment to live in or to holiday in then we should be able to find something to suit your needs and your budget.
